The Home Energy Saving Loan makes retrofitting your house to be more energy efficient affordable and easy.  Our scheme combines a low rate loan, application management, free home energy survey and a high quality contractor.

Who can apply?

This scheme is open to members of South Dublin Credit Union to improve the energy efficiency of their home (once it was built prior to 2006), either by insulating the roof or walls, upgrading the heating or by making a number of recommended energy saving improvements.

How much can I apply for?

Minimum borrowing of €3,250. So that means energy works of a minimum of €5000 in value required.

Grant on works 35% available. Energy works of €5,000 in value will attain a grant of €1,750.
